Sat 25th Jan Findon's Got Talent
This evening of entertainment has been arranged showcasing some very talented local artists. Over a dozen acts have volunteered to take part comprising primarily singers and musicians, but there will also be some poetry, monologues and maybe a bit of comedy thrown in. Unlike other Talent shows there will be no judges. Just an appreciative audience.Tickets are £10 each available from Peckhams the Butchers. The proceeds from this event will be divided between the Friends and the Village Hall Trust. Please click here for more details.
The Charity is always looking for new members to enhance our annual income stream in order to meet the ongoing costs of maintaining the fabric of our wonderful church.
Alongside this funding source however, we do very much rely on one off events to raise the bulk of the monies needed.
Since the formation of the Friends we have organised a sponsored parachute jump; a Stradivarius concert - as part of the Shipley Arts Festival; a “Pointless evening” and a golf day at Hill Barn Golf Club. All of these have been very successful financially plus providing a great deal of fun and pleasure to those that have supported us. In addition we have provided refreshments in conjunction with organisers of the Findon Sheep Fair and helped out with the Findon Parish Council AGM.
The committee is constantly looking for new ideas and events to organise or help out with and would be delighted to receive any suggestions in this regard. If you would like to discuss a possible fund raising idea then please feel free to contact our chairman Gerald Hibbs on 01903 872563 or treasurer Ian Hollyhomes on 01903 872465. All ideas will be more than welcome
